motherboardWith the number of computer viruses, spyware, rootkits, and other malware increasing every year it’s important that you run antivirus software. Malware Removal

Malware or malicious software is a generic term used to describe any software designed to infect or damage a computer without the owners knowledge for example a computer virus, adware, spyware, trojan horse or rootkit. Malware typically infiltrates your computer through free applications or websites which require you to download a program such as a video codec or ActiveX control.

Adware Removal

The goal of adware is to download or display advertisements on your computer which generates revenue for the adware creator. Adware usually comes bundled with free applications or is installed by other malware. If your computer is constantly displaying popup ads you probably have adware.

Spyware Removal

Similar to adware, spyware installs unwanted applications however it also monitors your web activity. Spyware usually presents itself as a toolbar or search bar from an unknown company. It may change your default home and search pages or other computer settings such as blocking access to the control panel and changing your desktop.

Rootkits

Rootkits allow an intruder to gain unrestricted access to your computer, its files, and your bandwidth. Rootkits have been used to steal account information, send spam, or for botnets which attack company networks. Rootkits are the hardest of all malware to remove because they are designed to stay hidden.

Computer Virus Removal

A computer virus replicates from an infected host to an uninfected host through removable media such as USB drives and floppy disks, or through a network such as the internet or private lan. Depending on the intent of virus it could delete files, display messages or infect other computers.
